For thousands of years the wells supplied good, sweet water to the local aboriginal tribe. The traditional people are the Mandandanji tribe who occupied this area.
The water flowed through them keeping it fresh and clean. A stone was placed over the top to keep out debris & animals. The wells are of immense local historical & cultural importance. Please visit carefully and tread lightly, taking only photographs and leaving only footprints.
